Millis Chamber Music Concert in February

On February 22, 2018 we will be repeating the program we did in Weston in November, with the flute, violin , viola trios by Max Reger, Holst, and Beethoven , at the Millis Public Library in Millis MA, in the evening.

Our next concert is on November 26 2017. We will be playing for the Maplewood Assisted Living in Weston MA with a grant we got.. We will be performing trios for flute, violin , and viola. The program will be Terzetto by Holst, Trio opus 77a by Max Reger, and Trio opus 25 by. Beethoven.

Upcoming Piano Quintet Concerts

Our concerts including Schubert’s “Trout” quintet, along with Louise Farrenc’s quintet opus 30 #1 and Dussek’s quintet opus 41 will be given at 2pm on Saturday 9/10/16 in Milton Library, 476 Canton Ave. Milton MA . It will be repeated at 3pm on Sunday 9/11/16 at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts, 1A North Road, Chelmsford MA. These pieces are all for violin, viola, cello, bass and piano.

September Concerts of Charles River Sinfonietta

On the weekend of September 10th and 11th,  we will be giving two concerts performing three pieces for violin, viola, cello, double bass, and piano.   Those pieces include Jan Dussek’s quintet opus 41(1799),  Louise Farrenc’s quintet opus 30#1 ( the first of two written in  1839/40), and the famous “Trout” quintet by Franz Schubert that he wrote in 1819 but which  didn’t get published until 1829, ten years later, one year after Schubert’s death.

Our concert on September 10, 2016 will be at 2pm at the Milton Library, 476 Canton St.  Milton, MA.

Our Charles River Sinfonietta willl be giving  a concert in Chelmsford, MA again on September 11, 2016 at 3pm. at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts on 1A North Street.The Schubert Trout quintet will be in this program..

Chelmsford Chamber Music Concert 9/13/15 at 3pm

On September 13th 2015 at 3pm at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts on 1A North Road, Chelmsford MA we will be having a chamber music concert featuring  Glinka’s Grand Sextet for piano, bass and string quartet, Francaix’s Divertissement for bassoon and string quintet, and the Schubert octet.  The concert is open to the public and tickets are $10.  We greatly thank the MA  Local Cultural councils in Chelmsford  and Lexington for making this concert possible and helping to support our concerts.

The concert at Saint Luke The Evangelist Parish in Westborough.

The concert on 2/8/15 was greatly appreciated and the lady in charge of the music there wants us to come back in the spring.  She said: ” I would really like to have you all come back and perform again, maybe in the Spring, and we’ll do a lot of publicity at the church-  I really enjoyed listening to you rehearsing, you are very sensitive players and you perform awesome works! ……So just hang on and we’ll make it all happen again!”

Family Concert in Westborough on 2/8/15 at 3:30pm

On February 8, 2015 at 3;30pm at the  St. Luke  Evangelist  Church at 1 Ruggle Street in Westborough, MA we will be giving a family concert performing  Brahms sextet #2 opus 36, Schnittke’s “polka”,  the Romance  for viola and orchestra by  Hoffmeister, and Mozart’s  K. 364 Sinfonia Concertante as a string sextet.  The viola soloist is Keyi Li, a talented high school student in Westborough.

The concert is free and open to the public.  All donations are welcome.
